Kind World Intern at WBUR

At Kind World, my producer Andrea liked to say we worked the kindness beat. Acts of compassion, big or small, can make a difference, and this show reported on it all. I joined the team when the show was about to launch, and later stayed on as a free-lancer for their Lifelines series. Among research and transcribing, I also helped establish a social media presence for the podcast on platforms like Instagram and Facebook Group. Although the show came to an end recently, these stories of kindness live on at WBUR, Boston’s NPR station. Here are some of the episodes I worked on.

Kind World – Lifeline Series

Assisted with logging and Spanish-to-English translation work for taped interviews (as a free-lancer)

Kind World – Social Worker Turned Doll Maker Helps Kids Celebrate Their Differences

Pitched story to producers

Conducted pre-interview and interview with subject

Wrote the rough script for hosts to then record in their own style
